Good question!!
Well, this past weekend was Easter. I didn't spend the money on meaningless junk and candy like I usually do. The kids didn't complain, they didn't even question why the Easter Bunny didn't come this year!! When I asked them what happens on Easter, they both said 'its about Jesus'. So then we discussed what is was about Jesus that made Easter so special. And that was that. Not a peep about candy!!
I've spent most of the week cleaning out my basement. Going through boxes, sorting clothes into two piles: fall/winter and spring/summer. I've so far only posted my maternity and nursing clothes and a few baby items on campbellyardsales.com and within just a few days half of it is accounted for or sold! I think I found a new hobby!!! I know I need to get all this 'junk' posted and out of my house, but its overwhelming when I look at home must stuff there is! It takes me a little while to get all the photos taken, send, loaded, transferred, and the ad posted!! I'm sure it will be worth it in the end!
Tomorrow, I'm supposed to be going to a FREE Dave Ramsey seminar thing at a local church. I totally forgot until just now. I have a chiropractor appointment tomorrow and we usually go to that after the kids get home from school. Not sure if we'll have enough time to do both. Might have to pick the kids up from school a little early. We'll see....
As for my garden, Dad did get the tractor up and working, but he's not going to disk my land until he gets a fence up at his house. I really really hope its not too late to start a garden. I already put some strawberry plants in hanging pots, and I started radish, carrots, celery, tomatoes, peas, beans, and mint seeds with my daughter and niece last week. Most of them have already sprouted!! I hope I have a place to put them soon or I might have to put a few small patches around the yard for gardens! LOL
Got the lawn cut on Sunday. And yesterday I signed my son up to cut a lady's yard every two weeks for two months this spring! He was totally stoked!! He's going to get $20 each time he cuts the grass there. I plan to help him as it will be done with a push mower!!
I've started searching for my daughter a puppy. We can not afford much if anything, but we are looking for a poodle mix of some type. It needs to be small and non-shedding. Plus it needs to be good with other dogs and animals as we already have a mini schnauzer. He misses his friend since we've moved. He used to play all day and now he just lays around looking sad.
I guess that's it for now! I have to get to work! Plan to start a few new (old) routines and they do not include sitting on the computer all day!! :)
